BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - OFFICERS of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force are currently investigating a vehicular accident that occurred in the New Guinea area yesterday (Nov. 1).
According to the Police Press and Public Relations Officer, Inspector Lyndon David, the incident occurred shortly before 4:00 yesterday afternoon.
He said the accident involved one motor jeep P446, driven, but not owned by Dr. Melissa Cable which was travelling west along the Island Main Road to Basseterre when it overturned.
He however did not state who the owner of the vehicle was, noting that "the circumstances surrounding the incident is still under investigation so too much details cannot be disclosed at this time".
He said that vehicle was damaged but added that he could not state which parts or to what extent.
The Police PRO said that Dr. Cable was taken to the JNF General Hospital for treatment.
David said that investigations into the incident are ongoing.
