BASSETERRE St. Kitts, November 4th, 2013 -- The UWI Open Campus St. Kitts and Nevis site was well represented at the recently concluded Ceremony for the Presentation of Graduates held in Grenada on 12th October, 2013. The contingent of 9 students and Site Head Mrs Susan Owen attended the ceremony held at Spice Basket Cultural Center in Beaulieu. A number of dignitaries were on hand for the occasion including the Governors General of Grenada, Belize and Antigua and Barbuda.
The graduating class of the Open Campus St. Kitts and Nevis 2013 consisted of 19 undergraduate students and 1 student at the Masters Level. There were 7 students who were awarded First Class Honours degrees for their work.

The class Valedictorian, Miss Nikishia Greenidge who is a paraplegic as a result of a car accident gave great encouragement to those at the ceremony. She presented herself as proof that despite great obstacles: hard work and determination will bring great rewards. She gave high praise to the UWI Open Campus and presented a call to action for all graduates to use their newly minted degrees to assist in the further development of the region.
The UWI Open Campus extends congratulations to the class of 2013 and welcomes them as new members of the community of UWI Alumni in St. Kitts and Nevis.
