    Governor-General Sir Cuthbert Sebastian

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – HEAD OF STATE, His Excellency Sir Cuthbert Sebastian has confirmed that he had discussions with members of the executive body of the United National Empowerment Party (UNEP), but informed that they did not approach him as members of that party but rather “privately”.

Late Monday (Jan. 12) afternoon, SKNVibes was made aware that the UNEP’s leader, Dr. Henry Browne and the organisations Public Relations Officer and Assistant Secretary, Walford Arthurton and John Dore respectively, requested audience with His Excellency which was granted. The meeting took place on the same day.

Dr. Browne, during an interview with this media house, said while it is not his place to divulge the contents of the discussions, “weighty matters...of great moment” and “matters of state” were discussed by himself, the other two members and His Excellency. Dr. Browne explained that the Governor General would be best suited to reveal the contents of the discussions.

Consequently, SKNVibes contacted His Excellency and inquired of him the contents of the discussions, but he reserved his right not to divulge the details because, as he explained, the men approached him in a “private capacity” and not under the umbrella of the UNEP as they had previously informed.

“It was a very private meeting. They did not come to be as a representative of the party you called. They came to me in a private capacity,” Sir Cuthbert informed.   ~~Adz:Right~~

He did confirm however that his meeting was with Dr. Browne, Arthurton and Dore.

Dr. Browne had also informed that the UNEP is now waiting to see what course of action the Governor-General would take before any further steps are taken by the party.
