Basseterre, St. Kitts - The St. Kitts-Nevis Football Association wishes to express deep regret following an unfortunate incident which occurred at the St. Pauls Playing Field on Saturday 2nd November, 2013.
The final game of the day’s Digicel Premier Division Double-header was played between Conaree Football Club and SL Horsford St. Pauls United Strikers. At halftime, a most unfortunate incident occurred where one of our players, Mudassa Howe suffered injuries as a result of electrical shock and had to be taken to the JNF General Hospital for observation.
Since the incident, the FA’s executive members have reported improvements in his conditions. We further wish to inform our member clubs, sponsors and our patrons that we will continue to work in collaboration with the Department of Sports to ensure the safety of all stakeholders at our games.
A full investigation has been launched into this incident and the general public will be kept abreast at every stage.
Meanwhile our hopes and prayers are with the player, his family, the Conaree Football Club and the Conaree Community on a whole. We wish him a speedy recovery.
