Gunfire erupts in Nevis again!
General Manager’s vehicles damaged

CHARLESTOWN, Nevis - POLICE on Nevis are investigating a shooting incident which occurred early this morning (Jan. 16) in the quiet residential area of Prospect Estates.
According to police reports, sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. shots were fired at two vehicles belonging to General Manager of the Nevis Housing and Land Development Corporation (NHLDC), Eustace Nisbett.
Nisbett’s personal vehicle, a Mitsubishi Diamante, registration number P5459, sustained damage to the front windscreen and right front window.

The bullet which left a hole in the windscreen was lodged in the steering wheel, while the window on the driver’s side was shattered.
The NHLDC-owned Nissan Pathfinder, registration number P633, also a right-hand drive, had both front windows shattered. Police found a bullet lodged in the front door on the driver’s side.
Police say other vehicles were parked in the immediate vicinity but those were the only ones shot at. They also said they did not receive a report on the incident until 7:00 a.m.
The lawmen recovered three spent 9mm shells and one live round from the scene, along with one warhead from the Pathfinder.
