BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – AFTER weeks of waiting in anticipation, the 2013-2014 Sugar Mas Line-up was finally revealed.
This was done at the Carnival Launch on Saturday (Nov. 9) at the Palm Court Gardens in Fortlands Basseterre, which, for the first time in recent years, had attracted a sparse crowd.
Although all the events were announced, the venues and times for most of them were not and Carnival Committee Chairman Sylvester Anthony said they would be given at a later date.
The season kicks off with the Official Opening of Carnival on Friday, November 22. This, Anthony said, would be done in the form of a grand street parade and would be followed by the undermentiond events:

Anthony said that the Carnival season would officially close on Sunday, January 5, 2014 with a Carnival Cool Down Fete.
