When will Team Unity go to Nevis?

Team Unity at the September 26 Launch

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - ON September 26 at Greenland’s Park, a three-party coalition pushing a Unity concept was launched with the Hon. Dr. Timothy Harris being announced as the Leader.

That night saw many Nevisians crossing the narrows on specially chartered boats to be a part of the event which featured the Concerned Citizen Movement out of Nevis.

Since then the Unity platform has promised to take the movement over to Nevis, but such a move has yet to come to fruition.

In an interview with SKNVibes, Deputy Premier of Nevis and Deputy Leader of the Unity Movement, Mark Brantley disclosed that the construct was launched Federation-wide in September but claimed that discussions are taking place to have a Unity-organised event in Nevis.

“Unity has already been launched nationwide and there have already been a number of discussions that there should be Unity already in Nevis.

“We are looking to see when it will happen in Nevis, but we are in discussions with our colleagues in St. Kitts. This partnership is strong. We are working very hard to ensure that the people of Nevis can recognise that there is a new way and a viable alternative to what we currently have. There are active discussions now but that is as much as I can tell you at this point.”

The launch of Team Unity was historic in nature. It marked the first time in the history of the twin-island Federation that political parties came together before an election and pledged to work together for the development of the people and the country.
