SPBS elects executive – Endorses current leadership

    Sandy Point Benevolent Society, November 17th, 2013  --  The outcome was not surprising following a very successful 2013 – at the Annual elections held in October 2013, the current executive was returned run the organization for the next 12 months. The membership decided to elect current President in the person of Dr. Mervyn (Pluto) Richardson to lead the organization. 

     

    Dr. Richardson was quick to thank his team and remind the executive committee to drive some of the key growth initiatives which include:
     
    Expanded Scholarship Program for Full Time College Students
     
    A New Program targeting new graduates of CEMHS and new graduates of the CFBC
     
    New CXC initiative with Children of the Caribbean
     
    Implementation of Drumming Program in St. Kitts
     
    New Mentoring Initiative (in collaboration with CEMHS)

    The Executive is as follows:

    Collette Joseph Secretary
     
    Winston Benjamin Assistant Secretary
     
    Trevor Duggins Treasurer

    The new executive is already busy planning its activities for the upcoming year with the hope of adding more fundraisers to the three they already have: the Easter Breakfast, the Annual Cruise Raffle and the function to attend, the Annual Banquet and awards ceremony.
