BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - WITH her melodious vocals and rock steady body movements, uprising Jamaican songstress 28-year-old Tessanne Chin delivered a feel-good Reggae performance when she belted out ‘Underneath It All’ during last night’s episode of The Voice aired on NBC.

Last night’s (Nov. 25) televised show was the fourth live one featuring the Top Eight of The Voice which is now in its fifth season.

‘Underneath It All’ is originally by No Doubt featuring well-known Jamaican Dancehall and Reggae entertainer Lady Saw.

Tessanne Chin’s coach Adam Levine, following her performance, remarked, “This is the most well-rounded thing you could do on this show. This song was tailor made for you.” While another coach, CeeLo Greene used a popular Jamaican-Rasta term to describe her awesome performance saying, “The sound tonight makes you feel irie.”

Tonight (Nov. 26), another live elimination is slated to take place as the Top Eight will be reduced to the Top Six.

Tessanne Chin, whilst giving a dynamic performance, even instructed the audience to echo rhythmic lines led by her nearing the climax of the song.

Tessanne Chin made her debut performance at the annual St. Kitts Music Festival in 2007.

She was slated to return this year after the initial line-up was publicised. However, she was replaced by well-known Jamaican Reggae and Dancehall artiste Christopher Martin due to schedule conflict.

Many people are familiar with Tessanne Chin's music, which include popular songs such as 'Hide Away', 'Broken Melody', 'Messenger' and 'Never Let Me Go' featuring  popular Jamaican Reggae and Dancehall artiste, Shaggy.

Tessanne Chin has credited Shaggy for encouraging her to compete in The Voice.
