BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - UPRISING Jamaican songstress 28-year-old Tessanne Chin has now advanced to the Top Six of the popular US reality singing contest, The Voice, which is currently in its fifth season.
Last night (Nov. 26) saw the fourth Live Show elimination televised on NBC, and two contestants were sent home from amongst the Top Eight.
Tessanne Chin along and five other contestants were voted for by the public in the USA and those in other eligible territories, while for the bottom three contestants, one competitor was voted for during a five-minute Tweet window by the public.
On Monday night (Nov. 25), Tessanne Chin gave a feel-good Reggae performance as she belted out ‘Underneath It All’, which is originally by No Doubt featuring well-known Jamaican Dancehall and Reggae entertainer Lady Saw.

Tessanne Chin made her debut performance at the annual St. Kitts Music Festival in 2007.
She was slated to return this year after the initial line-up was publicised. However, she was replaced by well-known Jamaican Reggae and Dancehall artiste Christopher Martin due to schedule conflict.
Many people are familiar with Tessanne Chin's music, which include popular songs such as 'Hide Away', 'Broken Melody', 'Messenger' and 'Never Let Me Go' featuring popular Jamaican Reggae and Dancehall artiste, Shaggy.
Tessanne Chin has credited Shaggy for encouraging her to compete in The Voice.
The next Live Show episode is slated for Monday (Dec.2).
