ROADTOWN Tortola BVI, November 28th, 2013 -- Throughout the world and our community many people are gathering today in the celebration of Thanksgiving 2013. We gather together around decorated tables filled with food, sometimes exchange gifts, telling traditional and cultural stories and giving thanks for our many blessings.
As the Chief Executive Officer of the British Virgin Islands Health Services Authority and a professional and servant of the health and medical fields for over 20 years, there is no surprise why this time of year, I am reminded of how blessed we are to have our health. I acknowledge that many people are not in their best state of health, and many others are fighting serious illnesses and injuries, and my heart and prayers go out to the suffering and to their friends and families.
Good health is so important to obtain, protect, and invest in and we are to be each other’s keepers, when we think about having a healthy population. I sincerely encourage everyone to make healthy lifestyle choices as we celebrate together our many blessings bestowed on us.
