December 11th, 2013  --  At 8:30 am on Wednesday 11th, the doors of the Excelsior Learning Center, another Nevis-based, SIDF, SEED business, officially opened. The Company is owned by Ms. Shavane Joseph. The Institution will offer tutoring in languages, sciences, and information technology for Primary School students up to Adults. The facility is located at the Ramsbury Site, in Charlestown, adjacent to Nevis Multiline Services.

Speaking on behalf of the Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation (SIDF), Mrs. Delcia Bradley – King, the Corporate Affairs Manager, noted that as each Business under the Small Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Program (SEED) opens, SIDF experiences a sense of Accomplishment, as its objectives to empower people and economically advance the Federation bear fruit.

Ms. Bradley then went on to praise Ms. Joseph as she regaled the invitees (who withstood the rain), with her experiences and interactions with the new Business Owner, over time. She commended her for having the focus, required competencies, and tenacity to transform her dream into a reality.

In giving comments, Ms. Joseph expressed her thanks to the many entities and individuals who have helped her to date and continue to assist her. Mrs. Erma Hendrickson then blessed the new company in prayer, which was followed by the cutting of the ceremonial ribbon.
