BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Decmeber 12th, 2013 (Inland Revenue Department) – The general public is asked to take note that the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, The Right Honorable Dr. Denzil Douglas, has announced that the second DVR Day of 2013, has been changed from Thursday 19th December to Friday 20th December, 2013.
All registered entities scheduled to take part in the reduced VAT Day, who would have received a letter of approval for the 19th of December, need not reapply for the new date that was announced. The previously issued letter for the 19th of December, will now be used to effect participation for the second reduced VAT Day.
The public is also asked to note, that sales of VEHICLES will now qualify for the reduced rate of 5%, during the second Discount VAT Rate Day, on Friday 20th December, 2013.
