BASSETERRE St.Kitts – NON-STOP partying was the order of the day for over 200 passengers aboard the Federation’s first party boat Prince Devonte J as it took its inaugural voyage on Saturday (Dec 14).
Just like the lucky patrons who were invited from various churches across the Federation, SKNVibes Entertainment was granted an opportunity to witness this one of kind masterpiece at its best.
In our previous exclusive interview with the owner of the vessel, Elroy Jeffers, he stated, “People say why a party boat? Well, it is simple. You have a sailing boat where you can accommodate a small party but with this boat you can hold over 300 persons. We have the room, we can give people a good time, and I think we need something for people to come out.”
Although the sea was a bit rough, the vessel displayed full endurance with the command of its captain and crew onboard while the party commenced with a local band.
They were amazing sightseeing, including an underwater view of marine life, thanks to the glass bottom feature which the boat is known for and considered the first of its kind in the Federation.
As the afternoon stepped in, patrons were granted the opportunity to swim in the waters, while yet again the patrons were enthralled with a number of creatures, including a dragon fish, a turtle, and fire corals among others.
What was more serene about the inaugural voyage was the breathtaking view of the sun setting, which attracted quite a number of viewers, especially couples who seized the opportunity to take photographs and gaze.
Meanwhile, on its way back to Port Zante, a ‘holy ghost’ party erupted on board the vessel as the patrons began jumping and singing to a number of gospel tunes, which were transformed to a Soca beat.
When asked by SKNVibes Entertainment about their experience aboard Prince Devonte J, one patron said: “When I heard about the boat, I told my sister we should try it out but we were both skeptical about the idea of an actually party on the boat. But after all this…I’m convinced that it is capable in doing so and providing patrons with a wonderful, enjoyable and breath-taking sighseeing tour of the island.”
