I greet you on the occasion of this very important season – Christmas, with increased courage, great hope, peace, goodwill and love for citizens at home and abroad as we celebrate the birth of Christ our Saviour and King!
As a people, we have had a year filled with a multiplicity of challenges. We have experienced a political climate like never before in our Federation where citizens everywhere have been clamouring for a change in the political landscape of our nation. Some issues that continue to be on the front burner are the Vote of No Confidence, the land for debt swap, the lack of full time employment and opportunities for our people. Those issues coupled with the high cost of living have crippled the economic power of residents.
Notwithstanding that we remain a resilient people ready and willing to survive the storm. The wind of change is blowing; the wind speed is extremely strong with messages of hope, there is light at the end of the tunnel. We have to reclaim St Kitts/Nevis and preserve our nation for our children and grandchildren. I implore you therefore to remain focus, have courage, keep the faith, stay united with your family and share love always!
Christmas is a time of festivity, a time to share, a time to unite and a time for introspection and remembering the real reason of Christmas. Christ is the author of love and I implore you to emulate him and share love always with everyone you become in contact with.
With this in mind, let us join together in love; come together in unity for the betterment of all and take back our nation.
Wishing you and your loved ones courage, hope, peace, health, happiness and prosperity in the coming year.
