ROADTOWN Tortola BVI, January 6th, 2013 -- NAGICO Insurance Group has appointed Mr. Dwayne Elgin as the new CEO for NAGICO N.V with effect from January 1st, 2014. As CEO of NAGICO N.V., Mr. Elgin will lead the company’s operations in the Dutch Caribbean, Antigua and Trinidad.
Mr. Elgin succeeds Mr. Imran McSood Amjad as CEO of NAGICO N.V., however the latter will now become the Chairman of the Board for the NAGICO Group of Companies. Additionally he will remain as CEO of NAGICO Limited, leading the company’s operations in Anguilla, Bahamas, BVI, Dominica, St, Lucia, Grenada, Montserrat, St, Kitts & Nevis and all French Territories.
Since joining NAGICO in 2001, Mr. Elgin has diligently worked his way from the Filing Department to the rank of Senior Executive Manager before this promotion. He was the company’s Chief Underwriting Officer and Head of Reinsurance for the past 18 months. He also headed the Center of Excellence cluster of islands that included Anguilla, Antigua, BVI, Dominica, Montserrat & St. Maarten.
According to the incoming Chairman of the Board of the NAGICO Group; Imran McSood Amjad; this change will strengthen the company's stellar track record as one of the largest privately held and most financially sound insurance companies in the region. About Mr. Dwayne Elgin
Mr. Elgin is a Chartered Underwriter (CPCU) from the American Institute for CPCU. Through his studies at the American Institute for CPCU, he has also earned his Associate Diplomas in Reinsurance, Commercial Underwriting, Insurance Services, General Insurance, Agency Management and Operations. Currently he is pursuing a double Associates in Fidelity/Surety Bonding and Management.
When Dwayne is not championing underwriting and other insurance matters, he enjoys playing a competitive game of cricket, dancing, playing table tennis, pools, athletics, reading and researching topics of interest and most of all spending time with his family.
