BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE Basseterre High School Class of 1984 is holding its 25-year reunion and organisers are encouraging their former classmates to come out and reminisce about their high school experience.
According to lead organiser Jemma Hanley, the reunion will occur from June 19 to 27, with registration open from now until March 25.
A packed schedule of activities has been planned for the weeklong event, with items designed to recreate a sense of camaraderie among the returning students.
A Meet and Greet Night is slated for Friday, June 19 while the reunion class will attend a formal dinner the following day.
On Sunday, June 21 there will be a church service and a family beach picnic, with a group visit to the Children’s Home and an undetermined charity event on the agenda for the next day.
Other activities on the schedule include a boat ride to Nevis, a group trip to the St. Kitts Music Festival, a game night and a luncheon aboard a catamaran cruise.
Hanley has created a website (http://BaseterreHigh1984.myevent.com) through which persons who plan to attend can RSVP, buy reunion paraphernalia, upload photos from back in the day and communicate through an online message board.
