BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, FEBRUARY 3RD 2009 (CUOPM) – Scores of constituents are expected to join Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas on his Health and Wellness Walk this coming Saturday 7th February 2009.

The monthly event, which has also attracted dozens of residents of all ages from around the island, starts at  6:00 A.M. from the lawn in Saddlers and ends at the Newton Ground Primary School, six and a half-miles away.

Transportation will leave the Newton Ground Primary School at 5:30 A.M. and an invitation is usually extended to all constituents as well as persons residing in other areas of St. Kitts and Nevis to participate in the Health and Wellness Walk.

Participants usually enjoy a healthy breakfast at the end of the walk.

The Health and Wellness Walk is aimed at introducing healthy lifestyles.

“You must exercise daily. Watch what you eat. High blood pressure and diabetes are preventable diseases in most cases. Be healthy,” has been the advice from Prime Minister Douglas, a medical doctor.
