BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE Kuddles Nursery located at Ponds Extension is looking forward to an exciting year and already has activities planned for the first six months.

The first of those activities was a Worshipping Service for children and their parents at the Beacon of Hope Church in Newtown on Sunday, January 25.

On Saturday (Feb. 28) a Walkathon is scheduled to take place from the Nursery to the third roundabout in Frigate Bay.

A take away dinner will be held on March 28, a Pre Mothers Day Barbeque on May 4 on the Kim Collins Highway and a Father’s Day Raffle is slated for June 19.

The activities were agreed on and organised by the Parent’s Teachers Association (PTA) of the Nursery in an effort to raise funds for the institution.

According to President of the PTA Corrine Mussington, last year’s activities allowed the PTA to purchase a swing set for the Nursery.

She said that this year funds would be used for maintenance of the Nursery.

“The activities also give the teachers, parents and children a chance to come together and bond in a family oriented environment,” she said.

The Nursery was established in 1996 and not only does it provide child care as another alternative for parents, but it also prepares children for the future.

A graduation ceremony is also held to commemorate the children’s move to pre-schools.
