Trinity/Boyd’s community playing field should start in March

    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, FEBRUARY 3RD 2009 (CUOPM) – Cabinet discussed several projects and was informed that construction of the new playing field for the Trinity and Boyd’s community should begin in March and improvemts are to be done to the Half Way playfield.
     
    Minister of State for Information, Sen. the Hon. Nigel Carty said Cabinet was informed that although there were some setbacks the bidding process for the playing field in Trinity/Boyds should begin shortly.
     
    He said several improvements are also to be made to the Halfway Tree playfield. These include renovation of the existing building, construction of a roof over the bleachers, the lighting of the field and fencing.
     
    As a result of concerns the drainage system around the playfield is also to be improved.
     
    Cabinet during its Monday meeting also received updates on the progress of the Frigate Bay Pond Development and the Potato Bay Project.
