Cayon, St.Kitts (January 21st 2014) -- Hon Eugene Hamilton continues to earn the respect of his constituents as he celebrates the fourth anniversary of his election as Representative for Constituency #8.
On Monday Hamilton visited with the 101 year old Ina Bass of Upper Monkey Hill and along with Team UNITY Leader Dr. Hon. Timothy Harris and Deputy Leader Hon. Shawn K. Richards , shared in the special day of her life.
On Tuesday morning the Honourable Member of Parliament visited the Cayon Primary school where he offered gifts of pencils, hats, pens, crayons and school bags that would assist the children through school as they develop their minds towards becoming productive citizens of tomorrow.
A message brought by Hamilton who was himself a former teacher at that school for over five years pointed the children towards knowledge, attitude skill and habits. He challenged the children to avoid habits that would shorten their lives and specifically urged that they resist the pressure to be in gangs, engaged in antisocial behavior including using illegal drugs and handling weapons such as guns.
He drew the attention of the children to the fact that a well known Cayon Matriarch “Mother Isaac” would be one hundred years old in February and every child expressed the hope of living to one hundred years old; in that context Hamilton demonstrated that the youngsters losing their lives through gun violence is an impediment to attaining the age of one hundred.
Each year the Hon Eugene Hamilton has given to the development of all schools in his constituency and as he seeks another term he has pledged to ensure that education and health are supported by any government of which he is member.
Hon. Hamilton and Team UNITY have begun to outline an educational and childhood development programme which places greater emphasis on the development of our children at an earlier age. The historic Team UNITY government will introduce universal access to early childhood education. This would be one of the many pillars of the PROSPERITY AGENDA. The Prosperity Agenda has the goal of bringing of achieving PROSPERITY FOR ALL.
The Hon Eugene Hamilton campaigns throughout his constituency this week and on Sunday 26th January will worship with members of his team at the Peoples Evangelistic Center at Needsmust at 9.30am
