BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JANUARY 28TH 2014 (CUOPM) - The Voters List, with the names of all persons registered as at December 31st 2013, will be posted on Friday 31st January 2014.
The Electoral Office has informed the general public that the Voters List will be posted at two conspicuous places in each Polling Division on Friday January 31st, 2014 in accordance with the provisions of Section 43 (1) of the National Assembly Elections Act (Cap. 2.0.1)
All registered voters are kindly requested to check the Register of Voters to ensure that their names are listed in the Register.
“Any person who claims to be entitled to be registered as a voter and whose name, address and occupation has changed or are entered in an incorrect manner may claim to be registered correctly by completing a Notice of Claim (Form No.7) and submit it to the Registration Officer at the Electoral Office not later than Monday February 10th, 2014,” the statement said.
Any persons whose name appears on the Register of Voters for an Electoral District may object to the registration of any person whose name is included in the said register.
“Persons who wish to make objection to names appearing on the register should complete a Notice of Objection (Form No.8) and submit it to the Registration Officer not later than Monday February 10th, 2014,” the statement added.
The Electoral Office said Notice of Claim and Notice of Objection forms may be obtained at the Electoral Office either in Basseterre or in Charlestown.
