By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - JUST 24 hours after a shooting incident had taken place at Prospect, Nevis, police officers of that district are having to make investigations into another shooting which occurred this morning (Feb. 27).

Information reaching this publication indicates that the incident occurred at approximately 10:45 a.m. in the vicinity of Shaw’s Road, New Castle.

The information further suggests that males were sitting near a shop in the area when a vehicle approached and two masked individuals exited, opening fire on the men.

After reentering the vehicle, it reportedly sped off allowing the assailants to make good their escape.

Public Relations Officer for the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force Inspector Lyndon David confirmed that the shooting incident occurred and that one individual - who was shot at - was injured in the process.

Meanwhile, SKNVibes understands that sometime before 1:00 p.m., a robbery took place at a “flower shop” located at Brown Pasture.

This publication understands that a masked individual may have entered the business and robbed the attendant there at gunpoint.

It is not clear however, as to what items she was robbed of - whether it was cash, jewellery or other personal items.

It is understood however that both incidents are under investigation.
