    ARRESTS

     

    BASSETERRE St. Kitts, March 3rd, 2014  --  Cion Phipps of Molyneaux Extension was formally arrested and charged for the offences of Driving Without Insurance and Driving Without A Valid Driver's Licence, which were committed on 27th February 2014.
     
    Kurtney Williams of Saddlers Village was formally arrested and charged for the offence of Possession of Cannabis.
     
    Junior Matthew of Christ Church was formally arrested and charged for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis With Intent To Supply.
     
    A juvenile was formally arrested and charged for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis With Intent To Supply,.
     
    ROBBERY
    On 27th February 2014, officers of Charlestown Police Station and K-9 Unit responded to a report made of a Robbery in Morning Star. The unidentified male took an undisclosed amount of money. Anyone who has any information regarding this robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-880-8477. You may be eligible for a reward.

    NON FATAL INJURIES
    Police in Nevis responded to two incidences of shots fired where two persons received non-fatal injuries. Around 10:40 am on Thursday 27th February,  it is reported that a vehicle stopped near a local shop and the occupants discharged rounds in the direction of some local youths who ran. One of the running males was grazed on his toe. In an unrelated incident, police responded to a second incident at M&M Mini Mart at Camps. Investigation revealed that around 3:05pm an armed assailant attacked an employee then fled. The employee received non- life threatening injuries. Anyone having information regarding these two investigations is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-880-8477. Remember you will remain anonymous.

    CIRCUIT COURT CONVICTIONS
    Roy Murray and Darel Sutton both of Challengers Village were found guilty of the offence of Unlawful Wounding and not guilty for the offence of Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm. They were remanded at Her Majesty's Prison to await sentencing. 

    POLICE TOOK ACTION IN CASE
    On Thursday 27, 2014) on ZIZ radio and Television call-in programme "Issues In Education" hosted by Dr Michael Blake, a caller mentioned that a report was made at the Cayon Police Station regarding a female student being bullied by a male juvenile and the complaint not being addressed. The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force takes such complaints seriously and wishes the public to be aware that there is a full time police officer in Cayon High School. The subject has been addressed and the bully has been remanded at Her Majesty's Prison.
