Collins speeds to another victory

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - Less than a week after setting a new National Record in the 60 metres, Kittitian sprint king Kim Collins sped his way to another victory, this time at the Leichtathletik Winter 2014 meet in Germany.

The veteran took the men’s sprint on Saturday (Mar. 3) in a fairly light field and cruised to victory in 6.52 seconds.

With the World Indoor Championships slated to kick off on March 7 many track and field enthusiasts have questioned whether or not Collins would compete for the Federation at the games.

Collins - last week - claimed that positive discussions with the SKNAAA has left him  hopeful about the future participation for St. Kitts and Nevis.

“We just need to keep talking and agree on how we are going to move forward. Where the World Indoor Championships are concerned I don’t think I am ready to agree with the terms, not because it's too soon, but because we have to communicate exactly what they are, what we agree on and what we don’t.”
