St. Croix U.S.V.I. - St. Croix Police responded to a call of an injured person Monday, Feb. 16 at about 4:50 p.m. and spoke to the parent of a four year-old female whose finger was apparently injured from a gunshot.
The mother, who is a VI police officer, told police she came home after work and put away her service weapon. She then went into the restroom and while she was there she heard a shot and noticed her daughter bleeding. The child was treated at the Juan F. Luis Hospital and released.
The Department is investigating this case.
