Miss Black San 2013 ready for world of modeling

By: Staff Reporter, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – ALTHOUGH her reign as Miss Black San 2013 is near an end, 21-year-old Patricia Clarke has admirable hopes of entering the modeling industry through the exposure she received during her reign.

In our exclusive interview with SKNVibes Entertainment, the tall beauty beauty explained that her year as Lime Miss Black San 2013 was an exuberant one filled with many adventures and most importantly, volunteering with the elderly.

“My year was awesome. I went to Anguilla, participated in Miss Venus and placed First Runner-Up. I met a lot of beautiful young women and being Lime Miss Black San I had the opportunity to meet a lot of important people,” Clarke said.

The astonishing beauty who hails from Saddlers Village told SKNVibes Entertainment, that in looking back at last year’s competition, there were many doubts about wining the contest as it was her first pageant.

“I did it because of curiosity and also I felt like I needed to do something different and everyone was encouraging me to do modeling. And to me the contest was just an opportunity so I entered,” Lime Miss Black San said.

Clarke also revealed to this publication that especially since her focus was more on gaining exposure, her win came as a surprise to her.

“I didn’t enter to win or place but after I was announced winner I stood their speechless and confused because at one time I though they made a mistake,” Clarke said.

In her remarks about this year’s contestants, Clarke had this to say: “The women are full of enthusiasm, they have poise, attitude in a good way…They have the entire package and they are ready this year.”

Clarke said since being around the six hopefuls and interacting with them, she has six new friends and they have all individually thought her a number of things that she said she would not have learned elsewhere.

“Honestly, I am ready to hand it over and any one of the six contestants is a deserving candidate for the title. After Lime Miss Black San I have not decided yet what I will do but I have my eyes on the runway.”

Clarke outshined her four competitors, winning four of the five judged segments last March at the Sandy Point Hard Court. In addition to the crown, Clark also won herself an all-expense paid trip to Anguilla to compete in that island’s annual Miss Venus Pageant.
