BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, March 19th 2014 (TEAM UNITY) -- On Sunday 16thMarch 2014 family, friends and well wishers of the Hon. Sam Condor flooded the halls of the Antioch Baptist Church in celebration of his 25th year as the Parliamentary Representative of St. Christopher 3 under the theme “To God be Glory.”
The joyous occasion saw attendees from all walks of life including Premier of Nevis,-the Hon. Vance Amory, former Governor General - Sir Cuthbert Sebastian, Parliamentary Representative for Constituency 7 and Leader of Team Unity- the Hon. Timothy Harris, Parliamentary Representative for Constituency 8 -the Hon. Eugene Hamilton, the Hon. Vincent Byron - Senator in the House of Assembly, His Excellency Starret Greene- OAS Representative in St. Kitts-Nevis, His Excellency Hugo Ruiz Cabrera -Cuban Ambassador and distinguished members of Team Unity.
The Hon. Sam Condor was lauded in a brief congratulatory message by the Hon. Vance Amory who attributed his long standing success to his humility and moral fortitude.
A noticeably emotional Condor, who described the celebration as “the best moment of his career”, recommitted himself to the people of West Basseterre and the people of St. Kitts and Nevis during a powerful address which brought tears to the eyes of many in attendance. He followed this up by paying homage to the Antioch Baptist Church by making a financial donation on behalf of the people of West Basseterre towards its building fund.
The service culminated with a moving tribute by Zikoma Condor, son of the Hon. Sam Condor who described his father as selfless and heroic and implored him to continue to stand up for principles.
The Hon. Sam Condor’s Jubilee celebrations will continue throughout the month of March with a number of events including a media tour, panel discussion, community events and a Silver Jubilee Banquet.
