BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – WITH less than a week remaining for his sentencing hearing at the Home Circuit Court in Jamaica, Dancehall sensation Vybz Kartel and two other entertainers are now slapped with conspiracy charges.
According to RJR news online.com, Vybz Kartel, jointly charged with Vanessa Saddler, called ‘Gaza Slim’ and Andre Henry called ‘Pim Pim’, is scheduled to stand trial in August on charges of conspiracy and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
The three entertainers were charged in 2012 after an investigation into an alleged scheme to mislead law enforcement officers in their investigation into the murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.
“The cops reported that on October 29, 2011, Gaza Slim visited the Constant Spring Police Station and reported that she had just been held up at gunpoint by Williams. The police say her statement was false and they seized text messages from Kartel instructing her to lie to the police,” the online news reported.
Henry had accompanied Gaza Slim to the police station to file the said report.
