What people say about Technology Trends in St. Kitts and Nevis

By: Entertainment Reporter, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – SINCE the introduction of new apps that allow users to freely communicate via voice calls of instant messages, service providers are finding new ways to do business with their customers. But what do people say about this?

Our weekly survey took us through the streets of downtown Basseterre, where we asked a number of persons their views on the ever-growing trend of technology.

The six random responses were as follows:

Question: As a Smartphone (or not) user, how do you view the growing trend of new devices that made their way to the shores of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Student: “We live in a world where things like Android Technology are developing really fast. If you realise it, every two to three months we got something else coming out in the market and everybody hurries to get their hands on a new gadget, and this is a sacrifice for some people.”

Clerk: “I have friends who use Smartphones because they are cheaper than buying a computer. And the two actually do the same things. Some people buy them because of style and trends, forgetting the reasons why these gadgets were created in the first place…”

Manager: “The faster the technology advances, the more these telecommunication providers lose money to me. You have apps that allow you make free calls and you have all the other apps that allow us to text free. How are they making money?”

Chef: “People taking loans, doing hire purchase, they even ordering them online; but what they paying at Customs is better for them to buy it here. I would like to suggest to all those people who buy them unnecessarily should save and do something better.”

Entrepreneur: “It’s a good sign that we all are inclined towards technology and advancing with it. Before all of these things came, not many people knew how to use the computer and these same devices helped them.”

Sales Representative: “It’s funny because the other day two people collided head-on because their heads were buried deep in the Galaxies. I think the police should put laws just like driving and texting, because one of these days somebody will walk into a car.”

You, our readers, can also join in our weekly conversation if you agree or disagree with the above views. Leave a comment below and tell us at SKNVibes what you think about the trend of technology in St. Kitts and Nevis.
