BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - JULIA BROWNE’s name and photograph would be added to the Wall of Fame, having been announced winner of Kajola Kristada's Employee of the Month for February 2014.
The announcement was recently made and Browne received her award last Friday (Apr. 25).
Browne joined the company almost two years ago and works in the EX11 Department.
When asked for a comment on winning the prestigious award, she stated that it came as a shock to her.
"I was shocked because I was not expecting it."
Browne told SKNVibes that she was very proud of her performance and noted that she would continue to push herself not only to win the award, but also for the betterment of the company.
She expressed her gratitude to her Supervisor Nerissa Wilson and thanked the management of Kajola Kristada for seeing her potential.
The company has an Employee of the Month Committee which includes supervisors from every department and two members of staff. The supervisors are given appraisals forms upon which they would score the employees, and the employee with the highest points would be discussed by the committee.
Among the criteria for judging the Employee of the Month are Knowledge of the Job, Quality, Attire, Versatility, Punctuality, Attendance and Team Building.
The monthly award was introduced some six years ago and the idea was initiated to show the employees that their hard work, dedication and efforts were appreciated as the General Manager, José Rosa, is instrumental in making sure that they are recognised and duly awarded.
Browne said that she would continue to work hard and hopes to win more awards.
