Tuesday, 6 May 2014 -- With age comes experience and that’s exactly why Saint Kitts and Nevis sprinter Kim Collins says he’s off to one of the fastest starts in his professional career.
The 38-year old, who will be participating in the 7 May Cayman Invitational, ran the fourth-fastest 60-metres dash time in the world during the 2014 indoor season.
“I’ve been putting in the work,” Collins said. “I think the good thing is each year I learn something new. Each year you learn something new. You learn something better and you say, ‘wow I need to try this.’ And it’s been working in my favour.”
Collins is one of the favorites heading into the meet to win the 100-metres dash.
“We’ve been working on different parts of the race and putting different information into training and see what works,” Collins said. “It’s been going great.”
