BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - AS part of its ongoing efforts to assist with the advancement of the education system in the Federation, Premier Dental Ltd. has given up the second floor of its building to cater to classes that the Washington Archibald High School (WAHS) and the Basseterre High School (BHS) will be holding.
The BHS and WAHS began their shift system today (May 7) at the latter school's compound to accommodate students and teachers from the former school who are no longer using that institution's facility due to the ongoing health issues.
Classes for WAHS’ students will begin at 7:45 a.m. and end at 1:15 p.m., while students of the BHS will attend school from 1:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
Premier Dental will be accommodating both schools until the school year ends, as the second floor of its building has been transformed into make shift classes. This gesture will be free of costs.
SKNVibes spoke with one of the Premier Dental's managers who expressed that the owner, Dr. Jones, saw the opportunity as one that would greatly assist the teachers and students of both schools in their time of need.
"This assistance is part of Dr. Jones' ongoing effort to help with the educational development of the youths of St. Kitts and Nevis," the manager said.Acting Minister of Education Hon. Marcella Liburd, on Sunday (May 4), had thanked the Premier Dental, AVEC and all stakeholders fortheir input in ensuring that the students and teachers of the BHS were fully accommodated in having a place to conduct classes until the end of the school year.
