By: Stanford Conway, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE Editor-in-Chief, on behalf of SKNVibes.com, hereby makes a public apology to the Prime Minister’s Press Secretary, Erasmus Williams, for a statement within an article that accused him of allegedly making a derogatory statement pertaining to a man being confined to a wheelchair.

The article, headlined “Discrimination through the eyes of a differently-abled man”, was posted on SKNVibes’ website on Monday, May 5, 2014 and spoke to some of the discriminatory acts allegedly meted out to wheelchair-bound businessman Curtis Matthew.

Williams contacted SKNVibes this morning (May 7) and vehemently denied making any derogatory statement to Matthew, adding that he does not know the businessman.

On the other hand, when contacted for clarification, Matthew was adamant that the statement was made.

At this juncture, SKNVibes does not think it appropriate to repeat the alleged derogatory statement. However, it has since been deleted from the article and management humbly apologises to Mr. Erasmus Williams for any inconvenience or embarrassment caused by its publication.
