BASSETERRE St. Kitts, May 12th, 2014 -- On this Mother’s Day 2014, let us recognize the significant role and impact that mothers have had on all of our lives. Let us reflect on the positive influence they have had on their respective communities, workplaces, families and ultimately our Federation.
Their guidance have shaped all of us. Their support have and will continue to shape our children born and yet unborn. Without their reasoned counsel, generosity , care and guidance, many of us would find our respective paths in life difficult.
Team UNITY is committed to supporting and helping mothers within our country. We have announced a few initiatives all of which will help to improve the well being of mothers and lighten their burdens. We have committed to universal pre-school or free early child-hood education.
We have committed to removing VAT from food and Medicine. We have committed to lowering mortgage payment on Low Income Houses. These are just some of the initiatives that will help to improve the lives of Mothers, particularly single mother’s , and help to reduce the costs of raising families in our federation.
