Basseterre, St.Kitts (May 10th 2014) -- Member of Parliament for Constituency #8 and Team UNITY Candidate Hon. Eugene Hamilton is expressing concern after encountering a strange individual in his yard during the early hours of Wednesday Morning.
In a brief statement issued via Social Media, Hamilton said that he approached the individual and accused him of being on his premises for nefarious reasons. The man responded but investigations by Hamilton suggests that the man was not truthful in his response .
Hamilton stated “Citizens! I need to share something with you.
The man in the picture posted, was caught in my yard taking pictures of my home on Thursday of last week. I accused him of being there for nefarious reasons. He stated he was just a common tourist. And gave his name as Steven Dudley
Strangely however, he checked out of the Marriott Hotel on the SAME day he was on my premises.
Strangely! he rented a vehicle on the Wednesday and turned it in on the same Thursday that I caught him in my yard.”
The Deputy Political Leader of the People’s Action Movement pointed out that similar activities leading up to the last elections where unknown foreigners were on island conducting a mind bending campaign which consisted of activities that can be described as criminal in some cases. Activities that led to the entrapment of individuals for political purposes
Hamilton stated in the statement “We have to find out if he is associated with "STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS LAB"- hired by the Douglas Labour Party to undermine candidates opposing him.
We only have to look back at how Strategic Communications Lab set up and undermined Lindsay Grant of in the 2010 elections!
Is he still in the Federation? Perhaps moved to another hotel or private residence so that any shady comduct contemplated by SCL and the Douglas Labour Party can be carried out? We MUST find out!”
Hamilton concluded by indicating that he has made a report to the police and called for citizens, residents, nationals, voters to Vote for Clean and Transparent Government.
“The matter has been reported to the police.
VOTE for Clean elections!!, Vote for transparency in Government.....VOTE UNITY !” Hamilton concluded
