Elderly Cayon man dies; autopsy to determine cause of death

By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - AN autopsy is expected to be performed on an elderly man who died this morning (May 13) while at a neighbour’s home.

Inspector Lyndon David, Press and Public Relations Officer attached to the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, informed SKNVibes that Reginald Buchanan of Cayon is the name of the deceased.

He explained that the 69-year-old - whom SKNVibes understands is aliased ‘Heg’ - was at one fellow Cayon resident’s home when he died.

He said the “doctor was called in and pronounced him dead” and the police were also called in to conduct investigations.

SKNVibes understands from unconfirmed sources that Buchanan may have died from natural causes, but the Inspector indicated that an autopsy would be scheduled to determine the cause of death.

    Investigations are ongoing.
