BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - A juvenile has been arrested and charged concerning a shooting incident that occurred in Nevis early last week.
A police press release issued today (May 27) informed that the juvenile was arrested and charged with “attempted murder committed on Monday 20 May 2014”.
SKNVibes understands that the incident which led to the juvenile being charged resulted in Virgil Martin being shot. Information reaching this publication suggested that he was grazed by the bullet.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear to this media house but SKNVibes understands that the information is conflicting.
This publication has been reliably informed that application for bail was made on the juvenile’s behalf, but whether or not that was granted is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, investigations are still being made into the drive-by shooting that occurred the day after Martin was shot.
That incident transpired at about 9:00 p.m. at the junction of Westbury Road and the Island Main Road and the victim was Vernon Parris, a resident of Nevis.
SKNVibes understands that no arrests have been made for that incident.
