BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A St. Paul’s resident this morning (May 28) walked out of the Sir Lee Llewellyn Moore Legal and Judicial Complex a free man after His Lordship Justice Darshan Ramdhani upheld a no case submission made by the man’s attorney.

The ruling was made this morning at the Basseterre High Court.

Yesterday, after the prosecution closed it case against Kevon Hamilton, his attorney, John Cato made a no case submission.

Hamilton was said to have unlawfully wounded one Mr. Douglas in September, 2012, which allegedly stemmed from a shooting incident that took place in St. Paul’s Village.

Shortly after the incident occurred, Hamilton was arrested, charged and remanded to Her Majesty's Prison.

The trial had begun on Monday (May 26).
