BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – UP to press time, medical practitioners at the Joseph N France General Hospital were battling to save the life of a male Newtown resident who was shot in Ponds Extension earlier this afternoon.
Information reaching SKNVibes states that Collin ‘Izum’ Matthew of East Street, Newtown was shot multiple times to the body while in a black rental motorcar (RA 16) on Catherine Julius Street, Ponds Extension in the vicinity of the basketball court.
On arrival at the crime scene, this media house learnt that eight shots were fired at Matthew while he was within the rented vehicle, which was at the time parked on Catherine Julius Street (also known as First Street).
It was revealed that while Matthew was in the vehicle, a white rental that was travelling in the opposite direction pulled up alongside and, from within, a number of shots were fired injuring him on the right side of his body.
According to unconfirmed reports, one of his sons had driven him to the hospital in the same vehicle (RA 16).
Police are investigating and more on this incident will be posted as soon as information is available.
