BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - TWO of the four individuals arrested in relation to a drug, gun and ammunition bust were released on bail hours after they were arrested while the other two received bail yesterday (Jun. 4).
On May 29, four individuals, including two females, were arrested following a joint Security Forces operation in the Bird Rock area.
Cassanya Lanns and Patrick Weekes were charged with Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Supply after a quantity of cocaine was discovered at Weekes’ residence.
And at Carla Hendrickson and Dwayne Martin’s residence, law enforcement officers unearthed a quantity of cocaine, an unlicensed firearm and 13 matching rounds of ammunition. Both of them were charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Supply, Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition.
SKNVibes understands that Lanns and Weekes were granted bail in the amount of $10 000 each with two sureties. The duo was granted bail on the same day of their arrest.
Yesterday, Hendrickson and Martin appeared at the Basseterre Magistrate Court and were granted bail in the sum of $100 000 each with two sureties. They were ordered to surrender all travel documents and are to report to the Basseterre Police Station twice weekly.
They are expected to appear at the Basseterre Magistrate's Court on Monday, July 7.
