BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - HUNDREDS of people in attendance at this year’s Vibes Beach Bar ‘Foam Fete’ had gotten themselves soaked in a pool of foam while some lucky persons won tickets to attend the upcoming St. Kitts Music Festival.
SKNVibes Entertainment was on the scene on Saturday night (June 21) at the Frigate Bay Strip as most of the patrons, dressed in their skimpiest attires, got down and soaked themselves in a pool of foam.
The large square pit was constructed in the rear of Vibes Beach Bar, facing the beach, with two machines above on a tall wooden structure spurting gallons of foam.
While some patrons were being doused with foam, a number of others took the opportunity to lime by the beach and enjoy the cool sea breeze, while a few others had gathered at the bar chatting and jamming to a collection of mixed music.
As the night progressed, the pit was filled with dozens of people who danced within the structure to a number of techno, electro, dancehall, R&B, Hip Hop and Pop music until the Foam Fete closed off around 2:00 a.m.
Meanwhile, over 15 persons were given a chance to win complimentary tickets to the St. Kitts Music Festival by means of answering a number of questions. There was also a ‘beer ponging’ competitions where persons were also given a chance to win tickets.
Thousands of Soca lovers are expected to attend the Music Festival’s opening night on Thursday (Jun. 26), dubbed the ‘Jump Up Night’, which will feature reigning International Power Soca Monarch Machel Montano and the HD Band, Skinny Fabulous, Destra Garcia, The Explainer, Elvis Crespo, and local acts such as the Small Axe Band, Fantastic Tunda, and Delly Ranks and King Meko.
