    BASSETERRE, ST Kitts, Tuesday 24th 2014 - The eighteen (18th) Annual St Kitts Music will be held at Warner Park Football Stadium from Thursday 26th to Saturday 28th June 2014.

     

    In order to facilitate the smooth flow of traffic in and around the Music Festival venue, the following traffic management plan will be implemented.

    Intention
    • To ensure easy circulation of vehicular traffic in and around the festival site.
    • To provide security and ease of parking for all patrons and their vehicles.
    Traffic 
    • Traffic will flow northwards only on Victoria Road.
    • Eastwards only on Lozack Road between Hart Street and Park Range.
    • Southwards only on Park Range between Taylors Range and NHC Road.
    Road Closure
    • No vehicular traffic will be permitted on the portion of Lozack Road between Victoria Road and Hart Street.
    Parking 
    • Public Parking will be permitted on the BHS grounds.
    • Special parking with the relevant access passes will be permitted in Carnival City, the Lawn tennis parking lot and the Old Girl’s School grounds.
    • No parking will be permitted on the eastern side of Victoria Road between Carnival City and Losack Road.
    • No parking will be permitted on the road inside Warner Park which leads to the Tennis parking lot.
    • Parking will be reserved for Taxis only on the eastern side of Victoria Road between Lozack Road and the American Bakery.
    • Limited parking will be permitted in Warner Park (south of the football field) for bar owners. Access will be via the south-western marathon gate.
    • Street vendor will only be permitted on the portion of Lozack road between Hart Street and Victoria Road.
    • A medical post will be established at the festival site to address minor medical emergencies at the venue, however, should there be an incident that cannot be handled at the site, and the ambulance service is expected to facilitate transfer of patient to J.N.F Hospital. The following route will be used
    • Victoria road
    • Cayon Street to J.N.F
    • A wrecker will be on standby nightly from 9pm. to remove vehicles that are illegally parked. These vehicles will be taken to the Fire Station and Rescue Services compound where they will be kept until the necessary towing fees are paid.
    • Officer will be available to provide security and parking management in the approved parking area.
    • Traffic signs will be posted to indicate traffic restrictions.
    • Officers (police and Traffic Warden) will be on hand to enforce restrictions. Illegally parked vehicles will be towed at owner’s expense.
    • Traffic restriction take effect from 6:00 PM and remain in place until half hour after the show each night.
