Team UNITY’s Historic Listening Tour Climaxed In Historic Dieppe Bay

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, June 24th   2014 (TUCOM):-The 8th in the series of Listening Tours in the Town Hall format came to an excellent climax last night at a packed Fisheries Cooperative on Main Street Dieppe Bay. An audience fully representative of the country and all 8 electoral districts brought a fitting climax to what pundits described as an excellent intervention by Team Unity in engaging the public with its Listening Tours. The interactive sessions allow candidates to put forward their vision for development of our country and simultaneously allow members of the audience to share their views or have queries answered.

Team Unity Leader, Dr the Hon Timothy Harris thanked the organizing Committee in Constituency #6 for being an excellent host of Team Unity’s Listening Tour. He commended the participants from Constituency #6 who featured prominently in the programme. Among them were Junie“Scrape” Hodge, who presided over the Town Hall; Janelle Herbert who rendered the national anthem, Vernon Connor who invoked God’s blessing and Shabas Douglas who delivered the vote of thanks.

Several persons from Constituency #6 took to the microphone to ask questions regarding Douglas’ neglect our constituency, the lack of transformation ofDieppe Bay, the absence of haul out ramps for the fisheries, the lack of support to the former sugar workers from the SIDF. The Capisterre Farm and La Valle came up for discussion by the constituents of #6.Thursday’s Listening Tour in the heart of constituency six was full of energy and palpable excitement.
