BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A $10 000 reward is being offered to persons who give information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of persons involved in the recent double homicide to have taken place in St. Kitts.

Three young men are being sought by the police in relation to the double homicide which took place yesterday (Mar. 4) afternoon.

A press release issued by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Press and Public Relations Office informs that Denzil ‘Para’ Williams, Sheldon ‘Sword’ Cannonier and Bernard Berry are “wanted...for questioning in relation to the recent murders” of Akimba ‘Oil’ Whyte and Casey Twells.

Persons having information concerning the whereabouts of these individuals are asked to make contact with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at 465-2241 extension 220, 230 or 236.

The police have warned that these persons are “considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached by members of the public”. Anyone seeing these individuals should contact the police immediately.

Whyte and Twells were gunned down in cold blood about 1:00 p.m. while they were leaving the Rascotec Shop at the Infirmary Road. When they exited the shop, a vehicle bearing one or more occupants drove by and shots were fired at them. Both men died on the scene.
