By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – BERNARD BERRY, the third man wanted in relation to the most recent homicides, has turned himself in to the authorities.

Police have informed that at about 6:40 last evening, Bernard Berry “surrendered himself to the police” after being wanted for an approximate two days.

He, as police have promulgated, was arrested on “suspicion of murder” and is being questioned about the murders of Akimba ‘Oil Whyte of Cardin Avenue St. Johnston Village and Kewsi Twells of Manchester Avenue, Newtown.

Both men met their gruesome deaths on Wednesday, March 4, sometime after 1:00 p.m. while they were exiting the Rasco Tec Shop on the Infirmary Road. They were gunned down drive-by-style and died on the scene.

Police were also seeking to find Sheldon ‘Sword’ Cannonier and Denzi ‘Para’ Williams “for questioning”, and while Cannonier turned himself in, Williams was found in a house in the St. Peters area and was removed by a police unit.

All men were arrested on “suspicion of murder”. However, according to the Police Press and Public Relations Officer, Inspector Cromwell Henry, Cannonier has since been released.

“The Police wish to thank the media and the general public for their assistance, in these investigations so far.”

Investigations into these homicides are ongoing.
