CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – THE West Indies cricket team completed their first series win over England in 11 years when they held on for a draw in the final test in Trinidad on Monday. Weekend Vibes took to the streets and asked Nevisians how they felt about the achievement.

I feel good that the West Indies finally win. They are improving slowly but surely. With guys like Gayle and Sarwan and Ramdin and Chanderpaul making runs, that’s a good team. And the future of West Indies cricket seems bright.
It’s good that they got the championships back home. They deserve it. They work hard for it and they are my champions.
Alex
I feel good that we won the cricket. I wish we could have won by two, but time was not on our side. I support Chanderpaul and Bravo to the fullest even though Bravo did not play. But cheers to West Indies all the way.
Geeta and Debbie
We feel good. We feel excited about the game. It’s good to see them back in the game. We support Chanderpaul, Sarwan and Ramdin to the fullest.

That’s a great accomplishment. I think that is to boost the team’s confidence. That can also inspire the cricket world once again.
Sterling Heyliger – former president of Nevis Cricket Association
It’s a sign that the WI team has the desire, discipline and appetite to win.
