CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – THE driver of motorcar PA 812 is now in police custody after running his vehicle off the Main Road at Prospect Village on Sunday morning.
Officers from the Charlestown Police Station rushed to the scene of the accident shortly after 11:30 a.m. and found the damaged vehicle but no driver.
Head of the Nevis Traffic Department Corporal Hazel told SKNVibes that the car was parked at a mechanic shop at Church Ground when it was taken by two young men without the owner’s consent.
Investigations resulted in the two men being taken into custody.
According to the police, the passenger was later released but the driver, who is hospitalised under police custody, would be facing four to five charges on his release.
