BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, SEPTEMBER 11TH 2005
    - Newly-appointed Chairman of the St. Christopher Air Sea Ports Authority, Mr. Linkon Maynard said the new Board of Directors is firmly committed to meet the enormous challenge of executing the mandate set by the Minister of Finance, Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Denzil L. Douglas.
As part of that mandate, the Board of Directors is acutely aware of the pivotal role that the Port Authority must play in the economic development of our Island and Federation as a whole. The new Chairman said it will take the tireless efforts of all at the Port to ensure the realisation of its goals and each worker at the Port must play his or her role in the task of restructuring and re-organising the resources to ensure a solid foundation for the future.

The January-July issue of SCASPA Sunrise highlights the recently held 8th Annual General Meeting of the Port Management Association of the Caribbean (PMAC), the upcoming 12th Annual Florida- Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA), the untimely death of its Board Member, Mr. Hubert Phipps, the implementation of a new Ferry Schedule by the Department of Maritime Affairs, the New Years Dinner and Talent Show and its Sports Club fun filled weekend in Jamaica.
