BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE LaGuerite community was thrown into a state of disbelief this evening (Nov. 9) when one of its men lost his life, reportedly as the result of a domestic dispute.
SKNVibes visited the scene and was informed that the incident occurred either shortly before 7:00p.m. or shortly after.
According to a police communique, the deceased is 40-year-old Leon Mills and it informed that he “died as result of a fatal wounding during a domestic dispute”. It is understood that he carried the alias ‘Froggy’.
SKNVibes was informed that Mills’ significant other, who was reportedly in tears when the police arrived on the scene, was removed therefrom and taken into custody.
The District Medical Officer was reportedly taken to the scene where Mills was pronounced dead and his body is expected to be removed by the undertakers.
Police officers including the Commissioner of Police Celvin ‘CG’ Walwyn and Assistant Commissioner of Police Vaughan Henderson, and Defence Force soldiers were on scene conducting investigations and maintaining order.
Mills' demise registers the Federation’s 16th homicide for the year.
